The roots of Italian pizza trace back to Naples in the 19th century, where it was created by chef Raffaele Esposito in 1889 to honor Queen Margherita, using the colors of the Italian flag: red (tomatoes), white (cheese), and green (basil). Italian pizza is made with simple yet high-quality ingredients, like dough that’s kneaded and left to rise for a long time to ensure the perfect crispy crust. Classic tomato sauce or pesto is used, along with fresh mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Every ingredient is carefully selected to deliver the best taste in every bite.
